About Westside church of Christ - Pasco WA
Our History
As a Church, we were founded by Christ, himself as outlined in the New Testament. For there is but one church or body (Eph 2:16, 4:3). Those who are saved are added to the church (Acts 2:47). Christ is our savior, and tells the body how to be saved in Mark 16:16.
Our Pasco, Washington congregation was founded in 194?? as Pasco church of Christ. Our congregation began with humble beginnings holding our weekly worship and study services at the homes of founding members including, Creed and Lorene Thomas, Luke and Jessie Thomas, and Norville and Mary Hubbell. In 19?? the founding members with the help of many other talented members of the church built our first site at XXX W. Sylvester in Pasco. Attendance grew. The immediate and extended families of our founding members, as well as their neighbors, friends, co-workers and others joined the church to the point we outgrew our original location. In 19??, we moved our location to 7900 W. Court St. and re- branded as the Westside church of Christ, still in Pasco Washington.
Currently, Tony Woods holds the title and honor of "Preacher" in our congregation. He spends his time studying the Holy Bible using references from multiple scriptures, historical knowledge of the related times and cultures, as well as a "study style", going through each book of the New Testament.
